Jack White on YouTube.
I’ll miss Jack White when he’s gone. Glad to know he’s still zigging and zagging and writing Black Keys jams while the actual Black Keys have given up. Was he the only musician who took the right lessons from Quentin Tarantino? He seems happy. Good for him. I’m finding nothing else interesting to say about “That’s How I’m Feeling.” If White didn’t make a whole fuss about not releasing this album randomly without any press and without going to streaming first, I’d probably pan this record pretty badly. Now it’s just forgettable. Maybe that’s what White wants these days: to be forgotten like the blues singers he so worships. Mission accomplished, I guess. God. If this were a White Stripes comeback single this would have a billion streams by now. Again, maybe that’s the point. I exited out of my YouTube window and I’ve already forgotten how this song goes. Did White even play guitar? How many Teslas does White own now? What was I about to write just now? Something about White making the Diet Coke of blues guitar rock? I hate that “Diet Coke” technically requires proper casing. Oh, yeah, I don’t regret the listen anyhow anyway. Damn. Oh yeah.
